About Me

Diana-Florina Cosmin is a Romanian writer and journalist, working for the Romanian edition of Forbes Magazine (as the editor-in-chief for ForbesLife and an editor-in-chief for UP), as well as for the Romanian edition of Cosmopolitan. She is also involved in several freelance projects, such as6simturi.ro (Six Senses, ,,The Community of Intelligent Women”). In March 2012, she published her first book, ,,Poveștile unei inimi”.

Diana discovered her talent at the age of 5, upon writing her first two pieces of poetry, titled „The Fox” (Vulpea) and respectively „One Soul”(Suflet). She went on writing essays, short-stories and poetry ever since, encouraged by her primary, secondary school and later high school Literature professors who proved valuable mentors. Her work was featured in several Poetry&Literature contests between 1990 and 1998.

Between the age of 6 and the age of 10 she was the editor-in-chief of her own „made-in-house” magazine, titled first „Alis” then „Bis” and finally „Diana”, which was 100% designed, drawn and written by Diana. Her imagination and exceptional creativity made her „magazine” popular around family friends who would actually buy it for their children. This is how Diana earns the first money out of her own journalistic activity, initially started as a childhood game but which eventually ended up securing her a sponsorship from an American foundation for gifted children in 1993, at the age of 9. To this day, Diana holds the complete collections of her „Alis”, „Diana” and „Bis” magazines, comprising over 100 issues.

Diana landed her first real writing job at the age of 13, becoming the youngest staff-member of one of Romania’s most popular TV&Drama magazine of the late 1990s – „Inima Salbatica”, where she published over 50 articles and got her first hands-on experience in the field of written press.

In high school she started publishing her literary work in „Hronica”, being a permanent co-author of the Poetry page, author of the Music and respectively Culture pages. Also, she did her first scriptwriting job, for the HighSchool Drama Group that she was also acting in. In the meantime, she continued the freelancer work, securing collaborations with MediaPro Publishing and Cosmopolitan magazine.

Since March 2009, she has been an editor with Forbes Romania, running the ForbesLife section and coordinating the Forbes Life andForbes Travel special supplements. She also writes for the Entrepreneurs and Investment sections of the magazine.

In October 2009, she also started a permanent two-pages column in Cosmopolitan Romania – ,,Sex and the Single Girl” – aimed at empowering young single women to have the right attitude and to find confidence outside their marital status. Diana also writes articles for the ,,You with Yourself” and ,,Cosmo Exclusive” sections of Cosmopolitan.

Since September 2010 she is one of the six women who write for the ,,Six Senses” online project, focused on small blurbs and opinions on life, society and the world. No judging, no patronizing, just plain, clear-cut solutions on how to make things happen rather than sit on the side and complain.

With a B.A. in International Business and Economics and two M.As, in Business Communication in English and respectively International Relations and, most of all, after wandering around the Globe and living in five different countries, Diana-Florina Cosmin has found new depths in her work as well as new and promising fields of expression, such as economic and political reviews, as well as business literature.

The latter came about as a natural way of expanding her writing activity, after a vast experience as PR representative in international trade fairs and economic missions in over 10 countries, on 4 continents, as well as after a substantial immersion in the field of IR, through seminars in all the major international organizations of our times:
